• Mercedes Cannulas: Have openings all around the distal end, allowing for 360-degree fat removal, good for fibrous tissue and large-volume extraction.
• Tri-port/Multi-hole Cannulas: Feature multiple holes for efficient fat harvesting.
• Spatula Cannulas: Often flat or spoon-backed, useful for areas closer to the skin like the chin, knees, and ankles.
• Basket Cannulas: Can be used for fibrous areas.
• Spiral Cannulas: Designed for specific fat removal patterns.
• Bent Cannulas: Good for precision in small areas or for creating initial paths.
• Toomey Cannulas: A common type, often associated with a specific hub design.
• Microcannulas: These are smaller in diameter (typically 2-2.2mm or 12-16 gauge), designed for precise fat removal with less tissue trauma, especially in delicate areas like the face and neck. They lead to smaller incisions, faster recovery, and minimal scarring.
• Macrocannulas (or full-sized cannulas): Larger in diameter (up to 6mm), used for removing higher volumes of fat in a single session.
